I was at the school from 1968 to 1975. I'm still in touch with several old friends from that time even though I now live in Southampton. I work for the Rt Hon John Denham MP and I recently obtained a BSc from the Open University - currently working to upgrade this to a BSc (Hons) Psychology later this year. I'm married (for the second time) and have a twelve year old son who is very nearly taller than me (anybody who remembers me will know this is not difficult).

If Trevor Talbot reads this he'll be pleased to know that I'm still trying to act. I'm a member of Southanpton Operatic Society and my most recent roles were Pirelli in Sweeney Todd and Cord Elam in Oklahoma. Terry Hall (former physics teacher) was also apparently a member of this society before he came to teach at Roan.

If anybody wants to get in touch, my email is [email protected] .

Hi Dave, Apparently the 1st team took a rather severe beating (6-1 I believe!) but the 2nd XI WON the B Cup.
Congratulations to all that took part.................

Hi did anybody out there go Skiing with the school to Austria in the early 70's? I remember a great trip with Bill Ellis and even the name of the hotel but trying to find out where in Austria we actually went!? Can anyone help?

Having spent 5 wonderful years at Roan Girls, graduated in 1978, I can hardly believe that 30 years has almost swept by. This web site has done a great job of keeping us informed.Pearl Olsen, Jane Watts - it would be lovely to hear from you. I now reside in the US.
The post on 2/9/08 submitted by the anonymous writer is not welcome. Regardless of your experiences at/perceptions of the school, kindly respect the sensibilities of the past and present students and refrain from such vulgarity. Nevertheless HONORE ET LABORE and Godspeed.

Hi there - where are all the girls ? I see plenty of messages and 'photos re the guys but have all the girls gone to ground or do they lead such busy lives they just haven't got the time?. I attended the school 1964 to 67, was a borderline 11 plus pass so was usually at the bottom for most things but very fond memories. Never see anything about my classmates though but maybe this will kick something off !
